Short-Term Supports and Respite

Our short-term supports are temporary living arrangements for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the families and guardians of the people we support.

Helping people remain connected

Bethesda provides options that not only support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but also their families and/or guardians when the need for short-term support arises. The reasons for short-term supports or respite can vary. Regardless of the situation, Bethesda offers flexible, temporary support services that can span anywhere from a few hours to several days or weeks.

In every situation, our goal is to make each person’s transition into their temporary home as easy as possible. When a person and their parent or guardian choose to receive short-term care or respite services from Bethesda, we work closely with both of them to identify the right services and environment that will best support them.
